The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is for those who want their speed with sunshine. Its turbocharged, 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine allows the car to leap to 60 miles per hour in around four seconds, which is about a second quicker than a standard 911. All this power can be channeled by either a quick-shifting, six-speed manual transmission or a sophisticated Tiptronic automatic. Contrary to most slow-shifting automatics, Porsche says the automatic can actually hit 60 mph slightly faster than the manual version. The car puts power to the pavement through an advanced, high-performance all-wheel-drive system and includes a wealth of chassis control functions. A fully automatic three-layer fabric top lowers in about 20 seconds, and pop-up roll bars wait behind the rear seats should things go awry.
